Flint Culture names Elizabeth Sen as MENA Managing Director
International communications consultancy Flint Culture has appointed Elizabeth Sen as its new MENA Managing Director.
Headquartered in London, Flint Culture is a public relations and communications firm that specialises in the cultural and creative industries. Through its offices in Istanbul, Dubai, and Delhi, the firm also delivers engagements across the Middle and Asia.
Now leading the Dubai office is Elizabeth Sen, who joined the firm at the start of this month from counterpart APCO Worldwide, where she worked for a dozen years, latterly serving as Executive Director. “The Middle East offers dynamic opportunities and I am excited to lead Flint Culture’s growth in the region,” she said on her move.
Throughout her career, Sen has worked on and led numerous client assignments involving communications, organisational change management, marketing, public relations, and brand management. Previous roles at APCO Worldwide included serving as Chief Client Officer and Deputy Managing Director for the MENA region.
Prior to joining APCO, she worked at Weber Shandwick, BPG Group, MS&L and Burson-Marsteller. Sen has been based in the UAE for over two decades.
“With her extensive experience in the MENA region, Elizabeth adds depth and specialised expertise and will help join up the Middle East operations to the rest of the world,” said Digby Halsby, Co-Founder and Director at Flint Culture.
Clients Flint Culture works for in the region include Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture, the Royal Commission of AlUla, the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, the Zayed National Museum, The Sheikh Zayed Book Award and the Abu Dhabi Book Fair.
Wol Balston, Co-Founder and Director of Flint Culture, said that with the arrival of Sen, the firm will be able to both deepen and expand its client mix in the region. “With Liz’s appointment, we are branching out to support public organisations, businesses, and government agencies in the MENA region with Flint’s novel way of fostering meaningful engagements through culture-centric campaigns and initiatives.”
