HKA bolsters business development team with Mark Winrow
Global specialist consultancy HKA has bolstered its team in the UAE with Mark Winrow.
Appointed a Principal, Mark Winrow has over a quarter of a decade of experience as a barrister’s clerk, working in some of the most prestigious Chambers in the United Kingdom.
For the past four and half years, Mark was the Senior Practice Manager for the Commercial, Construction, and International Arbitration Team at 39 Essex Chambers, where he led a team of five clerks responsible for managing the practices of over 60 barristers.
Before that, he worked at the construction and international arbitration Chambers at 4 Pump Court, gaining specialist experience through cases with major international builders and engineering companies and solicitors.
After 27 years of working as a clerk, Winrow has now crossed to the consulting realm, joining HKA – one of the globe’s leading consultancies for risk mitigation, dispute resolution, and litigation support services.
“I have been fortunate enough to have worked at some amazing chambers over the years. Clerking has been excellent to me and has now afforded me the opportunity to take up a role with HKA in Dubai. I look forward to working for such a well-regarded firm in the industry.”
At HKA, Winrow will focus on further expanding its business development activities across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
“I have worked alongside HKA for a number of years and understand the strengths and capabilities of the firm. I am delighted to have joined a firm that has such a strong presence.”
Haroon Niazi, partner at HKA in the Middle East, said: “Mark is recognised in the industry for his knowledge, expertise and insights, having worked in chambers for many years with some of the world’s leading barristers. I am looking forward to working closely with Mark, and his extensive experience is welcomed as we continue to expand our presence across the EMEA region.”
The appointment comes shortly after HKA installed consulting industry veteran Stuart Ells as its Chief Growth Officer for the EMEA region.
Headquartered in London, HKA has over 1,000 staff working across 50+ offices in 17 countries. In the Middle East, the firm has six offices.
