Emkan’s School Conference 2023 to focus on upskilling

Leading education consultancy Emkan is next week hosting the 2023 edition of its annual School Conference, this year focusing onthe topic of upskilling.

Hosted on the 18th of March at Mövenpick Hotel in Jeddah, the School Conference will bring together industry experts, leading academics, policymakers, and stakeholders across the education industry to examine best practices in the upskilling of students and the workforce.

“Upskilling is an essential part of the education sector in today's world and will be even more critical in the future,” said Emkan chief executive Basma Bushnak. “We believe that it’s essential for educators to have access to the latest knowledge and techniques in the field – that is why we are hosting the event.”

The conference will feature keynote speakers from renowned organisations such as Cambridge Assessment International Education and the Middle East Professional Learning Institute from Harvard University. Presentations will cover topics such as upskilling school leaders, students, and teachers.

A range of panel sessions will explore topics such as skills-based curriculum design, global competencies, education in the metaverse, the changing needs of local learned, technological innovation in the education sector, talent management, and building an inclusive culture within schools, among others.

“This is an excellent opportunity for professionals in the education sector to connect with like-minded individuals and gain valuable insights.
