Global customer experience consultancy Merkle has boosted its senior leadership team in MENA with Stacy Andersen, who crosses from rival Publicis Groupe.

Appointed as Deputy Managing Director, a newly created role for the business in the Middle East and North Africa, Stacy Andersen has been tasked with driving growth across the firm’s client base, services and capabilities.

The role will see Andersen join Merkle’s regional leadership team, and work closely with MENA boss Andreas Skopal on the delivery of strategic objectives – and as regional Deputy, step in his shoes when he is gone or offsite.

For Andersen, the move marks her return to home soil, yet in a different geography. She previously spent over two years at Merkle in its New York office, working as Director of Digital Media, responsible for some of the firm’s most high-profile clients including HBO and HBO Now with 9-figure budgets.

“I am delighted to take on this new role with Merkle to support the business in forging a new path for customer experience transformation. The opportunity to partner with clients to accelerate their digital dexterity and enrich their customer experience through Merkle’s unique data and technology-enabled solutions is compelling, especially in a region that is at the forefront of digitization, innovation and economic diversification globally,” Andersen said.

Prior to joining merkle, Andersen was Head of Digital Transformation and Innovation at Publicis Groupe in Dubai. In the role, she played an integral role in supporting the launch of Hearts & Science in the Middle East. Earlier, she worked for several advertising and communications groups in the US.

Throughout her career, Andersen has worked with a diverse range of clients, including Neom, Majid Al Futtaim, Nestle, BMW, Samsung, One & Only, LVMH, Visa, and Amazon.

Welcoming her to the firm, Skopal said: “Stacy's extensive experience, understanding of our business and our clients’ needs make her an invaluable asset to Merkle. We are confident that her leadership will contribute significantly to our strategic objectives, bringing together creativity, technology and data to deliver seamless customer experiences, as we embark on our next phase of our growth.”
