Havas adds top-level remit to Middle East leader Alberto Canteli
The world’s largest communications group and public relations agency, Havas, has added yet another top-level remit to the role of its Middle East boss Alberto Canteli.
A long-time company veteran, Alberto Canteli is the Chairman and CEO of Havas in the Middle East, Nordics, Benelux, and Central & Eastern Europe.
Originally from Spain, Canteli has been with Havas since the start of the millennium, growing the ranks to holds several local and regional leadership positions, and playing a driving role in the firm’s international expansion. Based out of Dubai, he is part of the global leadership team of the Paris-headquartered group.
Per the start of this month, Canteli’s responsibility has been extended with what the firm describes as “special projects”. In a press release, Havas stated: “This new area of focus will include identifying growth levers and developing actionable strategies at the global level, including new client opportunities, services, expansion, and cross selling.”
The added remit will see Canteli work closely together with Yannick Bolloré, Chairman and Global CEO of Havas, and other members of the senior leadership team.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to combine my regional responsibilities with a new role that will facilitate a closer collaboration with our global leadership team. Artificial intelligence, web 3.0 and blockchain among other advancements, will have a strong impact on our industry and it will be a privilege to contribute to the transformation and turnaround of our business moving forward,” shared Canteli.
Welcoming Canteli to the expanded role, Bolloré said: “Alberto’s proven leadership skills, vast expertise and innovative thinking will create new synergies and accelerate growth, allowing our teams to further build on Havas’ integrated approach and offer our clients the best possible outcomes.”
Alberto Canteli holds an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa, a Master’s in Marketing Management from Esade Business School, and a General Management certificate from INSEAD.
