Next generation education centre stage at the Emkan Annual School Conference 2024
Held for the 6th time, Emkan’s annual School Conference will bring together leaders from across the national and international education landscape to gain insight into top trends and developments in the sector, share best practices, and network with likeminded peers.
Hosted on Saturday 17 February in Jeddah, the 2024 edition of the School Conference is titled ‘Next Generation Education’, with the agenda geared around exploring transformative advancements in the landscape, including in technology, pedagogy, personalized learning, and student-centered practices.
Over 300 leaders from the private and public sector will attend the conference, with a further 3,000 participants set to virtually join one of the several keynotes, workshops and panel discussions.
Key themes on the agenda include the rise of artificial intelligence in education, tech-driven adaptive and personalized learning, data driven ways of working, and technology integration into operating models. The agenda also caters a number of less tech-focused topics that are top of mind for many executives, such as inclusive education for the next generations, student wellbeing, literacy, and social emotional learning.
Among the line-up of speakers are Basma Bushnak (Co-Founder and CEO of Emkan Education), Mona Chiriac (Lead Trainer at Cambridge), Steffen Sommer (Director General at Misk Schools), Emad Al-Ghamdi (Assistant Professor at King Abdulaziz University), and Gerald Chabot (Emirates College for Advanced Education).
Organiser Emkan Education is a consulting firm dedicated to the education sector, working with governments, educational institutions, and investors on strategic and organisational matters. Emkan Education ranks as one of the leading players in the region’s industry.
The 2024 School Conference will take place at Joudyan by Elaf Red Sea Mall. Sessions and workshops will be delivered in English and Arabic.
Previous editions of the School Conference focused on upskilling (2023), the development of learning capital (2022), building resilience in the education sector (2021), and learning delivery (2020). The inaugural edition was held in 2019, with all five conferences to date welcoming over 8,000 attendees.
