Commenting on his role, Salman said: “The transformation of hydrocarbon-based economies into more productive and diversified economies is an exciting opportunity, but it does require the necessary policy-making environment to enable businesses and investors to operate.”

Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Salman gained experience in strategy consulting at Strategy&, where he spent five years across two spells, and in investment banking, having worked for Citigroup and Morgan Stanley.

Salman served as an Economic Advisor to the Lebanon’s Ministry of Finance for over six years, providing much-needed advice on fiscal management and reform, debt management, and economic development, among others.

Talal Salman studied at the American University of Beirut, and later in his career obtained an MBA at The Wharton School and a Master in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School.
