Dubai-based Citrus Consulting acquired by ZainTECH

Dubai-based Citrus Consulting has been acquired by ZainTECH, the digital services and solutions division of Zain Group.

Established in 2016, Citrus Consulting is an IT consultancy firm specialised in cloud and technology transformations, with a strong focus on the AWS stack. An Advanced Consulting Partner of AWS in the region, Citrus Consulting supports its clients with advisory, technology build and managed services.

As part of the deal, Citrus Consulting’s 30-person team will join ZainTECH and integrate into its Cloud Center of Excellence for AWS services.

Commenting on the acquisition, the CEO of ZainTECH, Andrew Hanna, said: “By welcoming Citrus Consulting into the ZainTECH ecosystem, we are enriching our ability to deliver comprehensive cloud-based digital solutions that ensure quick and tangible benefits for our clients.”

“This deal is a strategic step towards reinforcing our position as a leader in the cloud services domain, directly aligned with our mission to accelerate the digital transformation journey for businesses across the region,” he added.

Also headquartered in Dubai, ZainTECH is a broad IT services company working with public and private sector clients on topics such as cloud, cybersecurity, big data & analytics, robotics, and solutions. The firm operates across the UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia, among others.

The deal comes within a year of ZainTECH purchasing Jordan-headquartered STS (350 staff).

Terms of conditions of the Citrus Consulting transaction have not been disclosed. The CEO of Redington, the former owner of Citrus Consulting, stated that the company’s new parent will serve as an ideal home for the crossing team. “Together with ZainTECH, Citrus Consulting will be stronger in delivering innovative services that cater to the evolving needs of regional customers and better amplify their cloud transformation journeys,” said Viswanath Pallasena.
