Indian professional services firm AKM Global launches in UAE

The UAE’s professional services market has welcomed a new player to its landscape: AKM Global.

Established over 40 years ago in India, AKM Global has since its inception grown into a 600-strong accounting, tax and business consulting firm with six offices across India. The company also has a hub in Singapore to serve the Southeast Asia market – with Dubai now inaugurated as the launchpad for entry into the Middle East.

In a statement on the news, AKM Global said the launch builds on an existing track record in the UAE market, mainly in the area of corporate tax services.

Engagements the firm delivered for UAE-based companies include advising on corporate tax and VAT for a multinational, supporting the establishment of a Free Zone Entity, assisting in the setup up a representative office for a US-based multinational, and completing tax benchmarking studies.

Leading the Tax services in the UAE is Yeeshu Sehgal, who has been with the firm for over four years and will be co-based in Dubai. “Our team of seasoned professionals bring unparalleled expertise to every engagement, from international tax planning and transfer pricing to tax advisory services and due diligence,” he said.

The new Dubai office will also provide a number of services outside the tax domain, such as UAE/GCC market entry (strategy), business valuation (financial advisory), and global mobility and immigration services (human resources).
