Faisal Tanvir joins Tax practice of Alvarez & Marsal in KSA

Alvarez & Marsal has expanded its team in Saudi Arabia with the hire of Faisal Tanvir.

Appointed a Managing Director, Faisal Tanvir brings over 20 years of expertise in tax advisory and compliance services, including deep knowledge of Saudi Arabian Zakat and Tax regulations. His experience spans developing and implementing tax and Zakat planning strategies, reviewing agreements and advising on tax and Zakat implications, tax- and Zakat-efficient structures and tax and Zakat compliance.

Tanvir also has experience with field audit inspections and tax controversies. He has worked with clients in various industries, including financial services, manufacturing, construction and real estate.

Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Tanvir was a Partner in the Tax practice of KPMG, where he spent seven years in its Riyadh office. Before that, he worked at EY, and in between the two Big Four firms, he served Thimar Al Arabiya as its Head of Tax and Zakat. He started his career in Pakistan.

Tanvir is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He completed the Harvard Business School High Potentials Leadership program.
