PwC welcomes 400 new graduates across its Middle East offices
PwC has in recent weeks welcomed over 400 new faces to its junior ranks, onboarding graduates across its service lines and offices in the region.
The 2024 summer cohort of graduates is one of PwC’s largest and most diverse ever in the region. The largest group of new joiners is in the UAE, where PwC has several offices. In Saudi Arabia, the firm added 120 new graduates, and notably, 95% of the young professionals are Saudi nationals.
In Egypt, more than 60 graduates have been onboarded, with other offices welcoming new members including those in Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, and Qatar.
The graduates join all PwC’s lines of services, such as Assurance, Deals, Tax and Legal Services, and Consulting, and lift PwC’s total headcount in the region to over 12,000 professionals.
Hani Ashkar, Senior Partner of PwC Middle East, said: “We're delighted to welcome this talented group of graduates to PwC. Their energy, fresh perspectives and skills will be key as we continue to innovate and grow in the region. We’re committed to providing them with the tools and opportunities to thrive, and we’re excited about the role they’ll play in our future success.”
In a statement announcing the news, PwC further pointed at the diverse nature of the cohort. More than 50% of the new hires are female, while nearly 87% are Arabic speakers. “Their unique backgrounds enhance our diverse community, fueling our collective drive toward excellence,” commented Mona Abou Hana, PwC’s Chief People Officer for the EMEA region.
In the coming months, the graduates will be trained and equipped with the skills needed to thrive in today’s dynamic business landscape. They will have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts, engage in challenging projects, and contribute to solving complex problems for clients across various sectors in the region.
Alongside large batches of new colleagues that join in the summer months and start of the calendar year, PwC also hires graduates in smaller sizes across the year, in line with demands from the business.
