Haitham Khaireldin re-joins HKA’s dispute resolution team
Haitham Khaireldin has re-joined HKA, a global consulting firm, as a principal based in the Dubai office.
With two new adventures under his belt, with the government and at FTI Consulting, Haitham Khaireldin is now back at HKA, which he previously served for five years in Dubai. During this time, he grew the ranks from Consultant to Associate Director, providing contractual and planning advice and delay analysis for high-profile civil engineering, building, oil & gas, energy, off-shore and transport disputes.
An accredited delay and quantum expert witness, Khaireldin has more than 18 years of experience in dispute resolution and project planning.
Khaireldin has acted as a party‐appointed expert in arbitration and as an expert in litigation. He has given written and oral evidence to the arbitral tribunal and been cross‐examined by counsel. He has also been appointed more than 200 times by the court as an expert, providing independent review and determination as part of legal proceedings for various types of disputes, including civil engineering, building and real estate.
He has worked on advisory and dispute cases in the UK and across the MENA region, among others in Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, including on giga projects of up $40 billion in value. He has also been involved in infrastructure and building projects in Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.
At HKA, Khaireldin is a member of the Construction Delay and Disruption Analysis practice. “I am delighted to be re-joining HKA and its world-class team of experts and specialists in risk mitigation and dispute resolution. I very much look forward to capitalising on my expertise and vast experience in both arbitration and litigation to continue HKA’s impressive growth in the Middle East and the wider EMEA region.”
Jad Chouman, Partner and Head of Middle East at HKA stated: “We are delighted to welcome back Haitham to HKA. His vast experience, gained over the past few years testifying on numerous cases throughout the region, will be an invaluable asset to our team and our clients throughout the region.”
Earlier this year, HKA also welcomed back another senior alumnus to its Dubai office, Lynsey Bromley, alongside the addition of several other new senior team members.
