Spanish player Bloom Consulting launches office in Saudi Arabia
Spain-headquartered Bloom Consulting has entered the Middle East through an office in Saudi Arabia.
Operating out of Riyadh, the new Saudi team of Bloom Consulting will provide Saudi government institutions and organisations with (international) branding, tourism development, and destination services – the firm’s main areas of focus. Riyadh becomes the company’s sixth office, alongside Madrid, Lisbon, London, Paris, and Sao Paulo.
“We are thrilled to launch in the vibrant city of Riyadh,” said Jose Filipe Torres, CEO of Bloom Consulting. “Having been actively engaged in the Saudi region for several years, we recognize the undeniable potential and dynamism that Saudi Arabia represents. As a hotspot in the region, it has become imperative for Bloom Consulting to establish a full-fledged presence in Saudi Arabia.”
“The Riyadh office will offer the same comprehensive range of services as all other Bloom Consulting outposts,” he added.
Notably, last year the government of Costa Rica hired Bloom Consulting to help define its Vision 2035 for the nation’s brand, while in 2022, the consulting firm was selected to help Brand South Africa assessing the South Africa’s reputation on the global stage. In KSA itself, Bloom Consulting previously collaborated with the Royal Commission for Riyadh City to develop and implement the Riyadh City Brand strategy.
Current projects include working with Jamaica on boosting the country’s brand perceptions, and a major project in Saudi Arabia that has just kicked off under the leadership of Iman Almutairi, who has been appointed as Managing Partner of Bloom Consulting for KSA. Almutairi holds the role in parallel with his role as CEO of Destination Consultancy, which has signed an exclusive alliance with Bloom Consulting for the Saudi market.
“We are thrilled to exclusively represent Bloom Consulting to bring cutting-edge place branding strategies to Saudi Arabia,” said Almutairi. “We believe that every place has a unique story to tell, and by harnessing that narrative, we can help regions attract investment, boost tourism, and ultimately enhance the quality of life for their residents.”
Almutairi previously served as Marketing Director for Tourist Destinations at the Royal Commission for AIUIa, responsible for marketing, communication, destination management, and tourism partnerships, and as Executive Director at Soudah Development, which leads the development of Soudah and parts of Rijal Almaa’s Governorate in the Aseer region.
The arrival of Bloom Consulting is the latest example of an international consultancy establishing a presence in the Kingdom, following the regional headquarters initiative which has seen over 120 companies set up their Middle East bases in Saudi Arabia’s capital in 2024.
