Telecom group du signs five-year technology contract with Accenture
UAE-headquartered du has signed a five-year contract with Accenture aimed at modernising its IT applications landscape.
One of the main telecom operators in the United Arab Emirates, du offers fixed line, mobile telephony, internet and digital television services across the region. The public-listed company currently has over 8 million mobile subscribers, and over 550,000 broadband customers.
Under the terms of the contract, du will work closely with Accenture (and other partners) to move to a new operating model within its IT applications domain, which includes the adoption of new technologies, the modernisation of applications, and new ways of working.
Accenture will support du with the adoption of new technologies and products, including generative AI and advanced analytics. The consulting firm will also support the telecom group with process improvement, shifts to the cloud, and the transition to new ways of working.
