Urbanew appoints Clement Blanc as head of Industrial & Logistics real estate services
Urbanew, an advisory firm specializing in real estate development, has strengthened its senior team with Clement Blanc.
Appointed Managing Partner and leader of the firm’s offerings to clients in the industrial and logistics sectors, Clement Blanc brings over two decades of C-level and senior experience in supply chain management and logistics to Urbanew.
Most recently, he served as the CEO of DHL Global Forwarding for Sub-Saharan Africa, overseeing operations across 14 countries. Under his leadership, the business delivered double-digit growth in both revenue and profitability, with Blanc playing a pivotal role in accelerating growth and transforming a number of underperforming markets into profitable business units through strategic management and cultural change.
Prior to this, Clement served as Managing Director for DHL in South Africa, where he also steered the business through strong growth, and earlier, he worked for several DHL businesses in Asia, including Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.
In his new role at Urbanew, Blanc will spearhead Urbanew’s services in the industrial and warehousing landscape. “His expertise in developing high-value assets, including specialized warehousing and build-to-suit facilities, aligns perfectly with Urbanew’s vision of delivering innovative, sustainable, and client-focused solutions in the property industry,” said Chakyl Camal, the founder and chief executive of Urbanew.
Headquartered in Dubai, with further offices in Maputo (Mozambique) and Sydney (Australia), Urbanew advises property developers and investors across every phase of the real estate project lifecycle. Its key offerings include design, capital raising, masterplan development, and project delivery. The company also is an official representative of two solutions in the real estate market: Green Timber Technology, and Immersiv.
“I look forward to achieving great things together with the team of Urbanew as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the industrial real estate landscape,” said Blanc.
