Richard Edwin joins HKA’s construction dispute resolution team in Dubai
Global management consulting firm HKA has boosted its partner team in Dubai with Richard Edwin.
A Chartered Civil Engineer with over 40 years of experience, Richard Edwin brings extensive experience in resolving construction disputes to HKA’s partnership. He advises clients on how they can secure successful project outcomes and provides independent expert witness opinion in formal proceedings, presenting both written and oral evidence.
Throughout his career, he has been appointed on over 60 occasions to provide independent programming and delay advice and expert witness services to clients, assisting them to resolve their complex construction, process, rail, oil and gas and offshore disputes. He has also participated as a witness in international arbitration and Dispute Arbitration Board (DAB) hearings.
Edwin joins HKA from Kroll, where he spent a dozen years working as a leader in its dispute resolution business (including spells at former subsidiary Duff & Phelps), latterly in the role of managing director. Before that, he worked for over two decades as an engineer and project manager in the construction sector.
Commenting on his move to HKA, Edwin said: “I am delighted to join HKA and be a part of such a respected and dynamic team. The firm has established itself as a leader in providing expert advice across the industry, and I am excited to contribute to that legacy. I look forward to using my experience to support our clients in overcoming complex challenges and disputes or assisting them to achieve the successful delivery of their projects.”
Haroon Niazi, partner and Lead of the Construction, Claims and Expert Services practice: “We are excited to welcome Richard to HKA. His extensive experience and industry insights will ensure we continue delivering exceptional value to our clients as we support them in resolving complex disputes. While based in Dubai, Richard will be working closely with both clients and colleagues across the wider EMEA region.”
