Deloitte leaders gather at Dubai Opera for 2024 Annual Partners Meeting
Deloitte partners from across the Middle East were present at the company’s Annual Partners Meeting in Dubai, to discuss the firm’s achievements in 2024 and the strategy for the years ahead.
Active in the Middle East since 1926, Deloitte is one of the region’s leading professional services firms, with more than 7,000 partners and staff working across 23 offices in 15 countries.
A large number of the firm’s partner team was present at the Annual Partners Meeting, which this year was held at the Dubai Opera and titled ‘Frontiers’ – in a reference to the many different growth frontiers the region is facing.
“The theme of our meeting, Frontiers, is a reflection of the transformation we are seeing across our region,” said Mutasem Dajani, who has been with Deloitte since 2002 and has been leading the Middle East business since the summer of 2020.
“The growing importance of digital technologies, innovation and building a start-up ecosystem which supports entrepreneurship within the communities we operate is critical to this. We remain well positioned to play a pivotal role in supporting our clients, industries and communities as they cross their own frontiers into new territories.”
Alongside discussing financials, growth priorities and investments, the Annual Partners Meeting was a platform for sharing insights from Deloitte leaders, professionals, clients, and alliance partners.
“We discussed the transformation of the region and our role in building the future, the growing importance of entrepreneurship, innovation, and digital technologies such as Generative AI. Together with our ecosystem and alliance partners, we are playing a pivotal role in furthering digital technologies and delivering efficiencies. It was great to hear from our clients highlighting the impact we are making,” stated Dajani in a post on LinkedIn.
Deloitte also shared its commitment to ESG at the event, among others through a dedicated session with UNICEF and several conversations around how Deloitte is helping non-profits and communities achieve their ambitions. “This was a topic close to all our hearts, giving back to our communities and the societies we serve.”
The event further highlighted Deloitte’s commitment to diversity, placing the spotlight on the firm’s latest crop of female partners, and on the accomplishments of female role models. This included celebrating the career achievements of Jessica Watson, a member of Deloitte’s Australian team but best known for her 2010 solo, non-stop and unassisted sail around the world which saw her become the youngest person to do so, aged just 16.
“Our greatest asset at Deloitte is our people and their diversity, and it was an absolute pleasure to see our partners and leaders share their valuable perspectives. Together, we continue to redefine what’s possible.”
