Kicking off today, the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA) Annual Conference is taking place in Abu Dhabi over the next two days, with four consulting firms serving as the event’s official knowledge partners.
With more than 500 delegates set to attend the event, the 16th MEIRA Annual Conference is the largest event in the region for leaders and professionals in the world of investor relations. They work at regional and international corporates, investment groups, consulting firms, regulators, and analyst houses, among others.
The stated aim of the conference is to provide delegates with a networking platform and to encourage dialogue around market challenges and best practice, while educating participants and stakeholders on the importance of investor relations, transparency and corporate governance.
“Together with all participants, we will explore the latest trends in the investor relations industry and opportunities that promise to elevate the investor relations role and the overall practices in the regional capital markets,” said Andrew Tarbuck, Chair of the Middle East Investor Relations Association.
The event’s knowledge agenda is being shaped and supported by a list of partners, headlined by Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and First Abu Dhabi Bank, with major banks including HSBC and Morgan Stanley among the Diamond sponsor cohort. The line-up of partners also includes consulting industry players FTI Consulting, Instinctif Partners, Sustainable Square and Teneo.

The program
The 2024 MEIRA Annual Conference will feature a two-day program, beginning with multiple morning sessions including panel discussions, presentations, and TED-style talks. These will be followed by afternoon sessions dedicated to corporate access and a series of workshops and seminars for professionals. The event will culminate with a Gala and Awards Dinner on the evening of December 12th, celebrating the best investor relations achievements across the Middle East.
