What is the Top Consulting Firms in the Middle East ranking?

Our ranking sets out to answer one basic question: what are the top consulting firms in the Middle East?

The consulting industry of the Middle East is home to hundreds of consulting firms – large, mid-sized, boutique and niche consultancies – serving clients across all industries and segments, and specialised in every conceivable area of expertise. Our Top Consulting Firms guide presents the industry’s leading players based on the region’s most extensive database of insights.

The ranking consists of top consulting firm lists across 30+ areas of expertise (strategy, management, finance, supply chain, sustainability, etc) and 30+ sectors (financial services, public sector, energy, retail, industry, etc).

What methodology is used to create the ranking?

As with any ranking, assessing what defines a ‘top firm’ is an ambiguous task. The answer will typically depend on who you ask, when the assessment is conducted, the type of service / expertise evaluated, which countries/regions are being explored, and much more.

To reflect this variety, our approach takes a holistic methodology to the assessment of firms based on two building blocks: a capabilities assessment (based on Consultancy.org’s extensive database) and the views of clients and consultants (surveys). Both factors have a weighting of 50%.

The database contains hundreds of thousands of data points across five dimensions, with relevant and available data from Consultancy.org and vetted external sources feeding the scores for the capabilities assessment. The dimensions are: firm capabilities, industry awards, prestige, thought leadership, and popularity on Consultancy.org.

The views of clients and consultants are captured through Consultancy.org’s survey tool, which is open all year round. In 2024, the tool received for the Middle East region over 900 reviews from clients and over 2,800 firm reviews from consultants across the different areas of service.

All consulting firms with operations in the Middle East qualify for the ranking (there is no opt-in or commercial threshold to join). Firms with a sufficient number of positive scores are included in the ranking, and sorted across five levels: Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. Within each class, consultancies are sorted based on their average score (note: differences within a class can be negligible).

The ranking’s key principles – fully inclusive, internal and external data – makes the op Consulting Firms ranking by Consultancy.org the most comprehensive ranking in the world of consulting.

Firms with an insufficient number of data points are excluded from the ranking. The ranking was created through a complex process and algorithm. The quality of consultancies not included is not disputed.
