WTW recruits Mohammed AlSudairy to lead Reinsurance Broking business in KSA

Global professional services firm WTW has recruited Mohammed AlSudairy to lead its newly launched Reinsurance Broking business in Saudi Arabia.
Hot on the heels of confirming that it has received green light to act as a reinsurance broker in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Willis Towers Watson has moved quick to bring in one of the sector’s leaders into its ranks. Previously serving as the Deputy CEO of Chedid Reinsurance Brokerage for the past two years, WTW has now installed Mohammed AlSudairy as Head of its Reinsurance Broking business.
“Obtaining our reinsurance broker license in Saudi Arabia further enhances our capabilities in the region,” said Pamela Thomson-Hall, Head of International at WTW. “We are thrilled to have Mohammed join us at this pivotal time in our evolution to broaden our reinsurance capabilities and drive new growth opportunities in this vibrant market.”
AlSudairy brings extensive experience of managing and overseeing treaty, facultative and claims activities for the Saudi Arabian market. He served Chedid Reinsurance Brokerage for around five years, before that working for Allianz and Saudi Re. He has completed many certifications in the insurance domain, including training at Lloyd’s in the United Kingdom.
Commenting on his new role, AlSudairy said: “I’m very pleased to join WTW during this important phase of expansion. Securing our reinsurance broker license positions us to deliver exceptional support and solutions to our clients throughout the Kingdom. I look forward to building momentum, forging lasting partnerships, and further strengthening WTW’s success in this dynamic market while contributing to the ambitions of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 agenda.”
“The appointment of Mohammed signals our commitment to the Kingdom and the broader region. We’re confident that his deep market insights will help us further innovate and deliver even greater value to our clients,” stated Eleni Lykoudi, Head of CEEMEA at WTW.
