HKA’s Saudi journey enters next chapter with new Riyadh regional headquarters

In the next chapter of its longstanding presence in the Saudi market, HKA has moved into a new office in Riyadh to accommodate its growth and ambitions.

The new office in the 16th floor of the Kingdom Centre Building in Riyadh, a 99-storey landmark tower, will provide HKA with a prestigious ‘home’ for its staff and relations, and enable the global consultancy to continue its growth trajectory in the kingdom.

HKA has been working in the Saudi market for over four decades according to records, with its Jeddah and Riyadh offices in business for over 15 years.

Emphasising the importance of the new office to the firm’s ambitions, Husam Gawish, Partner and Head of Operations for Saudi Arabia, said: “The Kingdom Centre is a fitting new home for us. It goes hand in hand with our growth plans in the country and further afield. This is another high point of our presence in Saudi Arabia that began in 2007.”

In Saudi Arabia, HKA supports its clients across its four main lines of business: Construction Claims & Expert Services, Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages, Forensic Technical Services and Advisory Services. The firm focuses on projects in the built environment, with its track record including several Vision 2030 giga projects and some of Saudi’s most iconic developments.

Jad Chouman, HKA’s Partner and Head of Middle East, said that the new office will support further growth across these areas of practice, while also serving as a magnet for top talent.

“As well as attracting global experts to the region, we have a strong focus on finding homegrown talent to nurture future leaders of HKA and the construction sector. Our new office will help us attract local and international talent. This, coupled with our ongoing work on ground-breaking and prominent giga projects and developments, will also inspire the very best talent in our field to join the firm.”

RHQ status

The move comes around a year after HKA gained regional headquarters (RHQ) status, which gives the global consulting firm a licence under the Saudi government RHQ programme to work on large, complex public projects.

“With our growing team permanently stationed in Saudi Arabia and numerous colleagues frequently travelling from the region and our global network of offices, we are delighted to have established the base of our Regional Headquarters in the prestigious Kingdom Centre in Riyadh. The entire team is enthusiastic about this strategic move,” noted Chouman.

Welcoming the news from the Middle East, UK-based Amanda Clack, who is Regional CEO for International, stated: “HKA is proud of our heritage and length of supporting the vision for Saudi Arabia. We are delighted our new office in the Kingdom Tower is not only a great place to work for our colleagues but puts us at the heart of Riyadh to provide a hub close to, and for, our clients.”
