Oryx and co-founder Vanessa Abernethy enjoy double win at Women in Law Awards

UAE-based Oryx has been honoured with two awards at the LexisNexis Women in Law Awards 2025.
Recognised for its role in redefining the legal services landscape, Oryx secured the Regional Law Firm of the Year award. Additionally, the firm’s co-founder, Vanessa Abernethy, received the Professional Achievement Award, lauded by the judges for her leading role in the family office advisory landscape.
Founded in 2022, initially as a legal start-up, Oryx has since then diversified into a professional services firm offering services in management consulting, corporate finance, compliance and legal. Over the past three yeasr, the firm has grown its roster to over 40 organisations.

Held in Dubai, the LexisNexis Women in Law Awards celebrated the contributions of exceptional women and firms committed to advancing diversity, inclusion, and innovation in legal services. For Oryx, the two awards came hot on the heels of the firm being named Emerging Law Firm of the Year at the Oath Middle East Legal Awards. Last year, the firm was also named a top consulting firm for risk & compliance services.
