Kearney has boosted its Sustainability practice with Filippo Ghizzoni, who joins the firm’s UAE partner team.

Well over a dozen years into his career in strategy and management consulting, Filippo Ghizzoni will continue to deepen and expand on his knowledge and capabilities in the field of sustainability at Kearney.

“I joined Kearney because the firm has such a great reach here in the region, which I now consider my home after more than a decade,” Ghizzoni says. “Kearney has a long legacy of sustainability work, bringing great expertise and commitment to sustainability-related work by focusing on creating tangible impact that helps our clients achieve their transformation journey.”

Specializing in waste, water, and wastewater management, Ghizzoni works with government ministries and corporates to develop policies and national strategies and help transform organizations.

He joins Kearney from Roland Berger (in the footsteps of Hani Tohme), where he spent thirteen years and was a partner since early 2024. During this time, he has worked on many engagements at the intersection of strategy and sustainability. He has led numerous corporate strategy development efforts, feasibility studies, and due diligence projects for waste and water management companies in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.

Among notable projects, Ghizzoni developed the growth and regulated business strategy for a national water provider in the GCC, and led a project in which he identified and detailed investment opportunities in a GCC country’s waste and water sector for one of its ministries, demonstrating sustainability’s potential financial benefits.

“Almost immediately after being staffed on my first sustainability consulting project, I quickly grew to love this area and decided to dedicate my career to it,” Ghizzoni reflects. “It’s a topic that is growing in importance each year, and I’m pleased to be able to work on advancing the sustainability journey of the region, working closely with ministries and corporations.”

“The waste and water management sectors are undergoing tremendous changes, which will provide multiple business opportunities while working toward a more sustainable planet.”

Having been on board with Kearney for several weeks now, Ghizzoni says he has much enjoyed the warm welcome: “Kearney provides a perfect platform for my work, and the firm’s collaborative culture allows me to assist colleagues all over the globe and benefit from their expertise in return.”
