Building on their longstanding relationship, the Kuwait Internal Audit Association and Protiviti have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that marks the launch of a more strategic partnership between the two organisations.

The collaboration aims to enhance the strategic and knowledge-based cooperation between the two parties, supporting the Internal Audit Association’s initiatives and plans in Kuwait.

With more than 190,000 members from 170+ countries, the Internal Audit Association (IIA) is the global advocate, educator, and provider of standards and certifications for the internal audit profession. Established in 2019, the Kuwait chapter of the IIA has over 200 members, representing over 2.000 professionals.

Working with Protiviti, the Kuwait Internal Audit Association aims to generate added value for the professional community at large and for the Association’s members in particular.

This will include developing joint thought leadership, building on previous joint publications such as the ‘Kuwait Internal Audit Survey’ in 2022, and workshops, sessions and features at major events.

Protiviti is a global consulting firm with more than 11,000 staff across around 90 offices in 25 countries. Its Middle East business has 9 offices, and is recognised as the region’s leading advisory firm for internal audit and control – a position the US-headquartered consulting firm also holds worldwide.

Outside of Kuwait in the internal audit domain, Protiviti recently was a Strategic Partner of the CAE Conference 2025, placing the company at the forefront of conversations shaping the future of internal audit in the UAE, while Protiviti also participated in the 6th Internal Audit Forum held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Daryoush Pour (Protiviti) and Fouad Al-Awadi (Chairman of Kuwait Internal Audit Association), in attendance of several leaders and executives, including Sanjay Rajagopalan, Vipin Sharma, and Parminder Singh from Protiviti, and Ahmad Al-Khamees from the Kuwait IIA chapter.
