Baker Tilly welcomes new member firm in the UAE
Following the recent departure of its member firm, Baker Tilly has moved quickly to rebuild its business in the UAE with the arrival of a new member firm.
In June, JFC Group – one of the larger member firms in Baker Tilly’s network in the Middle East – announced its cross to Moore, another global accounting and advisory network.
With the UAE market playing a pivotal role in its Middle East operations, Baker Tilly’s top leadership needed to move swiftly behind the scenes to address the gap. Their efforts paid off quickly, as the firm successfully brought a team of former Crowe professionals to form a new company within its network.
Led by 25-year veteran Saad Maniar, the team moving to Baker Tilly comprises around 50 partners and staff specialised in audit, tax, advisory, and risk management.
Now under the wings of Baker Tilly, the newly established member firm aims to spearhead the network’s presence in the UAE. “Joining Baker Tilly is a significant milestone for our firm. In an era of rapid change and heightened client expectations, aligning ourselves with a strong global network will enable us to deliver even greater value to our clients. We are excited about the opportunities for knowledge exchange, collaboration and innovation,” said Maniar.
With over 43,000 people in 700 offices, Baker Tilly is a top 10 accounting-origin professional services network in the world by revenue.
“The Middle East is an important region for the future growth of the Baker Tilly network globally,” said Francesca Lagerberg, CEO of Baker Tilly. On the addition of the new member firm, she said: “The expertise and reputation for quality demonstrated by our UAE firm aligns perfectly with our core values. It not only strengthens our capabilities in the region but also enhances our ability to support clients with cross-border needs through seamless, integrated solutions.”
