Kearney appoints Claudio Campanini as Region Chair for Middle East & Africa
Kearney, a global strategy and management consulting firm, has appointed the Italian Claudio Campanini as Region Chair for the Middle East and Africa.
The company veteran – who joined Kearney in 1994 – brings more than three decades of experience and a strong track record of helping clients deliver results to the role. He has been a partner since 2002 and a member of the European Leadership Team since 2017.
Campanini has held a number of senior leadership roles at Kearney, including serving as CEO of the Italian business, Head of the Communications, Media & Tech practice in Europe, and Managing Partner of the region comprising Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Greece. In his client work, Campanini focuses on strategic development, growth, and profitability.
He now brings his leadership to helm the Middle East and Africa region, which operates with seven offices: six in the region (Abu Dhabi, Beirut, Doha, Dubai, Istanbul, and Riyadh) and one in Africa (Johannesburg).
“The Middle East and Africa are dynamic regions, marked by transformation, innovation, and growth, continuing to present an extraordinary opportunity for our clients,” said Bob Willen, Kearney’s Global Managing Partner and Chairman. “Claudio’s appointment reflects our commitment to bringing global experience and connectivity to the region while investing in and developing local leaders to deliver lasting impact. We look forward to the next chapter under Claudio’s leadership.”
With a proven ability to grow businesses, Campanini will spearhead Kearney’s ambition to expand its presence in the region. “Growth is fundamental for our business, and achieving it requires an entrepreneurial approach. That’s the direction I push people in,” Campanini said. “I challenge our project outcomes in the name of quality and creativity to bring the best to our clients.”
Within Kearney, Campanini’s leadership style is widely praised for its integrity, inclusiveness, and unwavering commitment to creating value.
Campanini takes over from Dubai-based partner Mauricio Zuazua, who is stepping down from the role and is returning to a client-facing position.
Kearney was founded in 1926 as a spin-off from McKinsey & Company in the United States. The firm today ranks among the leading consultancies in both the Middle East and Africa.
