Alpha expands services portfolio in MENA with Insurance practice

Alpha, an international consulting firm dedicated to the financial services industry, has launched its Insurance practice in the Middle East.

Headquartered in the UK, Alpha is a 1,000-person consulting firm with offices in roughly 15 countries – its Middle East team is based out of ADGM in Abu Dhabi. The company supports banks, asset & wealth managers, insurance companies, and alternative asset providers with management consulting and technology services.

Alpha’s new Insurance practice in the region will support insurance groups across the full transformation lifecycle, from strategy and operating model design to finance and actuarial transformation, regulatory compliance, and technology delivery.

“With the launch of an Insurance practice, we are reinforcing our position as a trusted and specialized transformation partner in the financial services industry as a whole, combining global expertise, deep sector specialization, and a growing regional footprint to support institutions across their most critical strategic initiatives,” said Stanislas Vital, Senior Partner and Head of the Insurance practice.

Practice leader: Stanislas Vital

Stanislas has more than 17 years of experience advising insurers and financial institutions across Europe and the Middle East. He joined Alpha in 2020, then tasked with launching the Insurance practice in France, and was promoted to Senior Partner in 2023.

Over the course of his career, Stanislas has led major transformation programs for bank insurers, international insurance groups, and reinsurance companies. His experience spans finance and actuarial transformation, IT system selection and implementation, regulatory change including Solvency II and IFRS, financial reporting transformation, and large-scale organizational redesign. Before Alpha, he held senior roles at EY and Deloitte.

Reflecting on the industry expansion, Stanislas said: “The insurance landscape in the Middle East is evolving at pace, driven by digitalization, regulatory change, and shifting customer expectations. At the same time, insurers across the region are scaling quickly, diversifying their product offerings, and investing heavily in technology and operating model modernization.”

“Against this backdrop, the launch of a dedicated Insurance practice represents a natural evolution of Alpha’s presence in the region. Our experience working with leading insurers globally gives us a strong foundation, which we adapt pragmatically to the unique context of the Middle East.”

Building the team

The new practice has hit the ground running, bringing in its first clients and expanding its team to meet demand. Stanislas said that the firm aims to create a team that reflects the diversity and ambition of the region while delivering the highest standards of consulting excellence.

“We’re looking for people who are not only strong technically, but who are motivated by impact and transformation,” he noted. “Our ambition is to build a world-class insurance practice that helps clients deliver lasting change.”

In 2025, Alpha was named one of the leading financial services consulting firms in the Middle East by industry platform Consultancy.org.
