Sarwant Singh selected to lead Frost & Sullivan's MEASA region
Global research and analysis consultancy Frost & Sullivan has tapped company veteran Sarwant Singh to lead its Middle East, Africa and South Asia region.
Senior Frost & Sullivan partner Sarwant Singh, who has been with the research, analysis and strategy consultancy for two decades and currently heads up its global Mobility, Aerospace, Defence and Security practice, has been appointed as the new leader of the firm’s Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) geography, with the role to be added to his current responsibilities.
A former member of the World Economic Group’s Automotive & Transport Council, Singh currently sits on the advisory boards of automaker Nissan, the Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI) and Leeds University Business School, and has over the past 20 years gained a wealth of experience in strategic consulting and advisory to leading companies, public sector enterprises and multilateral organisations in the mobility and advanced technologies sectors.
Among his prominent industry clients are global names such as Ford, Philips, BMW, the Fiat group, Nissan and Toyota, while according to Frost & Sullivan Singh’s counsel has been sought by the Prime Minister’s Office in the UK, international organisations such as UNIDO (the United Nations Industrial Development Organization) and leading private equity firms and investment banks.A specialist in a wide range of functions, including corporate strategy, R&D, product planning, market intelligence, mergers & acquisitions, public policy planning, and corporate venturing, Singh is a noted futurist and author and speaker on the subject of mega trends, with recent client engagements focusing on areas such as digital transformation strategies, data monetisation, and IoT-based business models. He holds an MBA in International Business from the University of Leeds and a BA in electrical engineering.

Founded in New York nearly 60 years ago, Frost & Sullivan began expanding beyond the US in the decades following its inception, with its first South Asian research and consulting office launched in India in the 90s. Since then, it has expanded its Indian presence to seven outlets in addition to a branch in Sri Lanka, while in the Middle East and Africa the firm has locations in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and South Africa among the consulting firm's more than 40 worldwide.
