Oliver Wyman promotes four new partners in Middle East & Turkey
Global management consultancy Oliver Wyman has made 36 end-of-year partnership promotions in its offices worldwide, including three based in Dubai.
Dubai-based consultants Joel Ghosn, André Martins and Seif Sammakieh are among three dozen worldwide partnership promotions made by global management firm Oliver Wyman in its annual end-of-year round, to take effect from the first of January 2020. Lale Dagli, of Oliver Wyman’s Istanbul office, has also been made partner, with the quartet following the five regional elevations made at the end of last year.
Of the remaining 32 promotions, seven were made in Asia, eleven in North America, and fourteen in Europe. “Our new partners span the globe in terms of location, experience and expertise and we are lucky to have them,” said Oliver Wyman CEO Scott McDonald. “I congratulate them on their achievement and know they will help our clients navigate challenges and opportunities in a fast-changing market.”
Joel Ghosn
An INSEAD MBA graduate with a telecommunications and engineering background (Université Paris Dauphine/American University of Beirut) Ghosn has been with Oliver Wyman for more than a decade, joining the firm in early 2009 and now serving in its public sector practice in the Middle East. Previously, he spent over three and a half years with Paris-based management consultancy Vertone.
André Martins
Martins meanwhile first served with Oliver Wyman in 2006 as an intern in Madrid, before joining the office as a consultant the following year. Having since completed an MBA with Spain’s IESE Business School (recently named Europe’s sixth leading business school), Martins has steadily risen up the ranks at Oliver Wyman, crossing to the firm’s Dubai office as a principal in early 2016.
Seif Sammakieh
Joining Oliver Wyman’s Riyadh office in April last year, Sammakieh has an earlier background in finance, attending the University of Surrey and Boston University before spending over a decade between Samba Financial Group, Credit Suisse, and finally King Abdullah Economic City, the latter as Head of Treasury and Investor Relations. He then spent time with Saudi consultancy Kanani Solutions prior to OW.
Lale Dagli
In Turkey, Dagli has also been made a partner in Oliver Wyman’s Istanbul office, where she has been stationed since 2012 – joining from Dubai-based management consultancy Peppers & Rogers Group after a five-year spell. Prior, she completed her studies at Boğaziçi University, and at Oliver Wyman is active in the financial services sector, with management and marketing expertise.
