Former Strategy& manager Patrick Nader has joined professional services firm Egon Zehnder as a consultant in the Middle East.

Global management consulting, executive search and leadership advisory Egon Zehnder has welcomed former Strategy& manager Patrick Nader to its Consumer, Services and Family Business Advisory practices in the Middle East. Nader joins after a three-year stint with PepsiCo, and will be based out of Egon Zehnder’s Dubai office – one of the firm’s 68 locations across 40 countries worldwide.

A MBA graduate of INSEAD (complementing a Bachelor of Commerce, Financing and Accounting with McGill University), Nader kicked off his career at brewing giant AB InBev, before joining the Finance & Performance Management practice of Deloitte Canada. He later relocated to the Middle East, joining Strategy& as a summer associate before working his way to manager over five years with the firm.

After a period as a strategy senior manager with Mondelez International following Strategy&, Nader crossed to PepsiCo at the beginning of 2017, most recently serving as a Senior Director, Strategy for Asia and MENA. Now he will support regional clients, including companies, multi-nationals and family businesses, with their leadership challenges – at what is the world’s largest privately held executive search firm.

Boasting a team of 500 consultants and 2,000 full-time global employees, Egon Zehnder last month posted its results for the 2019 financial year – marking a 3 percent rise to revenues of around $770 million (CHF 746 million). Founded in 1946 and headquartered in Zurich, the consultancy cited accelerated growth in its integrated leadership advisory services offerings for its most recent positive results.

“Our continued growth is a testament to our work for leaders, balancing purpose and profits,” said Egon Zehnder CEO Ed Camara, a two-decade veteran of the firm who took the helm at the end of 2018. “We have an unmatched global footprint, and a well-balanced geographic portfolio that gives us a strong competitive advantage to explore growth opportunities in every relevant market around the world.”

The firm also noted that as a privately owned partnership, it maintains a strong, debt-free balance sheet. In addition to executive search, Egon Zehnder’s integrated offerings further include CEO succession, board advisory, leadership development and organisational transformation. “We are part of a new era in which change has become systemic, with far-reaching consequences,” commented Chairwoman Jill Ader.

While Ader was referring more generally to the contemporary business drive for performance as well as purpose, accelerated and widespread change in the wake of the global coronavirus pandemic is now practically inevitable, with strong business leadership perhaps more important than ever.

Recently, professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal urged organisations to start addressing the impact on executive compensation.
