Arash Darabnia joins consulting team of CBRE in Dubai
CBRE has bolstered its consulting capabilities in the Middle East with the addition of experienced hire Arash Darabnia.
Appointed a Director in the firm’s Consulting practice, Arash Darabnia has been tasked with “strengthening CBRE’s relationships with clients across the region” and “advising clients on how they can navigate the unprecedented challenges they are facing in the wake of Covid-19,” said Michael Heitman, Head of Consulting at CBRE Middle East.
The global real estate consultancy operates in all GCC countries, and boasts a workforce of over 500 in the Middle East and North Africa. Darabnia, who is based in Dubai, will focus specifically on the firm’s operations in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
“It is a great honour and privilege to work for CBRE and alongside the best in the business, many of whom I have worked with over the course of my 15 years in the region,” he said, referring among others to his more than ten years at rival JLL, where he latterly was a Director in its Strategic Consulting Real Estate Advisory and Development practice.
“Arash brings a wealth of real estate consulting experience and expertise to CBRE having worked in the Middle East for one and a half decades and will further help to strengthen our presence in the region. We very much looking forward to working with him,” said Heitman.
Nick Maclean, CBR’s Middle East Managing Director added: “Arash comes with a great network of clients and will be involved in all aspects of the consulting services, supporting and advising government entities, developers, investors, corporate clients and HNWIs with their real estate projects across the region.”
The news comes within a week of rival Cavendish Maxwell boosting its consulting team with four members. Meanwhile, Bruno Wehbe last month joined the MENA real estate practice of management consultancy Booz Allen.
