Ahmed Boshnak rejoins Bain as partner in Riyadh office
Nine years after departing the strategy consulting firm, Ahmed Boshnak is back at Bain & Company.
In his new role as a partner, Boshnak has been tasked with overseeing the day-to-day operations in Saudi Arabia, cementing Bain & Company’s position as a leading management consultancy in the Kingdom, and accelerate its growth in a number of key areas of focus.
The Saudi national and former Bainee brings more than 20 years of professional experience in strategy consulting, financial services, and venture capital to the firm.
Asked why he returned to the American-origin consulting firm, Boshnak said, “I have very fond memories of my time here (2010 – 2013) which went a long way in developing my career.”
Since leaving late 2013, Boshnak led his own management consulting firm Cornerstone Ventures. Under his direction, the firm grew to a boutique of around 20 consultants and staff, currently boasting a track record of 100+ projects for 70+ clients across the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Boshnak also held roles in industry, including serving as Managing Director of Emaar, the Economic City, and as a Board Member at King Abdullah Port.
Prior to Bain & Company, Boshnak spent five years in banking, worked for Saudi Investment Bank and Samba Financial Group in retail banking.
Tom De Waele, Managing Partner of Bain & Company in the Middle East, said, “Ahmed Boshnak a highly experienced professional with a broad and deep experience as strategy consultant, entrepreneur and senior executive across sectors in Saudi Arabia. I am truly delighted to see him return and be part of our team at Bain & Company again.”
“With Ahmed, we are reinforcing our commitment to our office in Riyadh and investing in further capacity and capabilities to support the Kingdom and our Saudi clients in this transformative moment for the country,” added De Waele.
“Since the launch of Vision 2030 the Saudi market continues to offer a lot of potential for Bain’s global business growth. It gives me great pride and pleasure to put my expertise into delivering on the Kingdom’s ambition,” concluded Boshnak.
Other Bain & Company partners in the Riyadh office include Eric Beranger-Fenouillet (ex-Oliver Wyman) and Sami Abdul Rahman (ex-McKinsey & Company).
