TBH leaders Colin Fox and George Matta relocate to Middle East
International project management consultancy TBH has relocated two of its senior directors from home market Australia to the Middle East, as the firm seeks to meet growing demand for its claims and disputes services in the region.
Colin Fox and George Matta have both been with TBH for over a decade, and have held multiple leadership roles during this time. Fox has relocated from Sydney to Saudi Arabia, where he has assumed the role of Country Director for the Kingdom, while Matta has moved from Perth to Dubai, where he is a leader in the Claims & Dispute Resolution practice.
“We are excited that Colin and George have joined us,” said Christopher Nicolas, director at TBH. “With their years of experience, Colin and George will strengthen our claims and disputes service line, and provide additional senior management expertise to support our ongoing expansion across the region.”
Founded in 1965, TBH (in full: Tracey Brunstrom & Hammond) is one of Australia’s leading project management consultancies. The firm helps deliver large-scale and complex projects in a range of sectors in the private and public landscape. Out of its home market, TBH has expanded into Asia (Hong Kong and Singapore) and the Middle East, where it originally launched in a joint venture construction (with Confluence and Faithful+Gould).
In 2020, TBH transitioned to an independent setup in the region, and is currently pushing for the “next chapter of our journey in the Middle East,” said Nicolas – a 25-year company veteran who has been with TBH in the region since the very start.
In Saudi Arabia, Fox will lead a team that provides commercial management, risk, dispute advisory and management advice from project development through to the formal dispute phase of the project cycle.
A cost, quantum and disruption expert, Fox brings significant experience in the provision of advice to owners and contractors, specifically on large-scale resources, infrastructure and utilities projects. He also has given expert testimony in multiple jurisdictions.
Based in Dubai and serving mainly the UAE region, Matta will lead the forensic delay and disruption offering. He is an expert in the analysis of delay, acceleration and disruption claims, and has given evidence as an expert witness. He has been appointed as expert on several time-related and disruption claims and has been cross-examined in local and international arbitration proceedings.
“We are excited to be working on some of the most renowned, mega and giga-projects in both Saudi Arabia and the UAE,” said Fox and Matta on their move.
According to ConsultancyME’s latest benchmark of consulting services, TBH ranks among the Middle East’s leading project management consulting firms.
