ASCELA cements ESG commitment by joining UN Global Compact
International consulting firm ASCELA has joined the United Nations Global Compact, reinforcing its commitment to responsible corporate practices and sustainability.
In line with its sustainability goals, ASCELA has signed up as a member of the world's largest corporate sustainability and social responsibility initiative, the Global Compact initiative from the United Nations.
“ASCELA has always been dedicated to driving positive change and contributing to a more sustainable future. It’s about more than business; it’s about our collective duty to contribute positively to the world,” said Nivesh Chaudhary, Managing Director of the Dubai-headquartered consulting firm.
Established in 2018, ASCELA is a management consulting firm focused on strategic, organisational, and financial matters, specialising in the infrastructure, transportation, sports, and logistics sectors. The company has a team of around 50 consultants and staff, part of which is based in its New Delhi office.
As a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, ASCELA pledges to uphold the ten principles of the compact, and issuing a public declaration of its commitment. In turn, the United Nation offers training, peer-networks and a functional framework to aid in meeting objectives.
“By integrating these principles into our business framework, we aim to meet international standards and contribute meaningfully to global sustainability goals. By embracing the values espoused by the United Nations Global Compact, we are poised to drive positive change within our sphere of influence, contributing tangibly to a more sustainable and equitable world,” said Chaudhary.
ASCELA joins around 17,000 companies and 3,800 non-business signatories across 160 countries, all dedicated to taking actions that advance societal goals in accordance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
