Dubai Business Associates receives 5,400 applicants for program
The soon to be unveiled 2024 cohort of the Dubai Business Associates programme will have come through a highly competitive selection process, with only 27 participants to be selected out of 5,400 applicants.
Now in its 11th year, Dubai Business Associates is a nine-month program that helps graduates make the transition from “talented young graduates to future business leaders and entrepreneurs.”
The program equips young talents with the skills, knowledge, and network to become future leaders, with learning & development complemented by on-the-job learning through a 12-week placement with partner organisations.
Graduates (known as ‘Associates’) receive training courses on topics including management and business theory, interpersonal skills, and advanced consulting. Alongside physical and online training courses, they are guided by a series of masterclasses conducted by industry leaders and benefit from personalised coaching.
Placements are then provided at leading organisations in the UAE, including Digital Dubai Authority, Emirates, the Dubai International Financial Centre, and the Emirates Literature Foundation.
Towards the end of the program, Associates showcase the skills they learned during a final presentation where they deliver a consulting project addressing a real-life business challenge to the senior leadership teams at their respective placements.
Training and delivery partners of the program are PwC, Capadev and Bon Education.
James Maughan, the Director of Dubai Business Associates, said the program is delighted to have seen such a high level of interest and enthusiasm from around the world: the 5,400 applicants come from 166 countries.
“The program is a unique opportunity for exceptional fresh graduates from all over the world to bridge into the working world on a fast track and learn from the best and to make a positive impact on society and the economy. We are proud of the diversity and global reach of our programme, which reflects the vision and values of Dubai as a hub of excellence and innovation,” Maughan said.
Notably, and arguably one of the reasons why the program receives so much interest, is that Dubai Business Associates is a fully funded program, covering expenses including flights, accommodation, stipend, and social/cultural activities aimed at enhancing cultural intelligence.
