International consultancy firm Uniqus has appointed Saad Al-Khathlan as Managing Partner for its Saudi business, based in the firm’s recently opened Riyadh office.

Saad Al-Khathlan brings over 15 years of experience in auditing, accounting, and reporting to Uniqus, a private equity backed consulting firm with offices in the Middle East, the United States, and India.

Al-Khathlan specialises in accounting standards (such as IFRS and SOCPA), compliance, financial accuracy, risk assessment, economic analysis, and control assessment, having gained experience in various sectors including financial services, telecom, technology, and automotive.

Prior to joining Uniqus, Al-Khathlan spent fourteen years at Big Four firm EY in its Saudi practice, rising the ranks to partner. Leading a multi-locational team, he provided strategic direction to clients on compliance with accounting standards, financial decisions, and internal controls. 

Notable engagements under his belt include serving as the Lead Audit Partner for STC, Partner for Gulf Insurance Group and Saudi Information Technology Company, in addition to other listed and unlisted companies. He also served as EY’s Riyadh office quality leader, ensuring that risks and engagements were managed in line with quality standards.
