PwC has launched a new Generative AI offering for legal businesses across the Middle East, enabling them to tap into the power of generative artificial intelligence to boost their productivity and lower costs.

The launch of the client-focused offering comes on the back of PwCusing generative AI for over 18 months within its own business to improve areas such as governance, risk and compliance, knowledge management, and client services.

The new offering brings together the firm’s own experiences in generative AI with the expertise of its AI Centre of Excellence (including the centre in Saudi Arabia) to help clients improve the efficiency, effectiveness and performance of their legal functions.

“In an era where CEOs in the Middle East anticipate Generative AI to significantly change the way their company creates, delivers, and captures value, there’s no doubt that legal needs to keep up. Our first-of-its-kind offering is not just a testament to our commitment to legal innovation, but also a reflection of our deep investment in the region's legal tech landscape,” said Alex Rosenrauch, who leads PwC’s Legal AI service in the Middle East.

The new offering is built on PwC’s global alliances with OpenAI, Harvey and Contract PodAI, and is suited for both private sector and government organisations. Accompanying the tool, PwC’s advisors will support a variety of services from concept to implementation, including the identification and prioritisation of legal Generative AI use cases, selection and procurement of technology, implementation support, and change management support.

Amir Kordvani, Head of Legal at PwC in the Middle East, stated: “We understand that our clients are increasingly prioritising Generative AI in their operations. Recognising this shift, we are committed to investing in legal Generative AI solutions to enhance our service offerings.”

“We are dedicated to empowering businesses to harness the transformative potential of Legal Generative AI. This is more than an advancement in technology; it's a leap forward in how legal services are envisioned and delivered in the Middle East.”
