Bain & Company celebrates four senior promotions in Middle East team

Bain & Company has made four senior promotions in its Middle East offices, promoting Akram Alami and Houssem Jemili to Senior Partner, and Pauline Coquet and Ahmed Bin Amir to Partner.
Akram Alami is a core member of Bain & Company’s Energy, Aviation, and Sustainability practices. He leads the Aviation sector practice in the Middle East, which works on some of the region’s most significant projects for airlines, airports, and other aviation stakeholders including government.
Additionally, Akram leads the Utilities practice in the Middle East, where he is responsible for developing corporate strategies related to energy transition, internal performance enhancement, and decarbonization, and spearheads Bain & Company’s ESG advisory work in the region, advising CEOs, boards, state-owned enterprises, and governments on sustainability topics.
Akram has been with the global strategy consulting firm for over a decade across two spells, and previously worked in an executive role at Etihad. His client work focuses on corporate strategy, mergers & acquisitions, investment strategies, and operating models.
Houssem Jemili, who is a PhD holder in Management, is a core member the Advanced Manufacturing and Services practice and leads the firm’s Digital & Innovation practice in the region. He has 23 years of experience in the management consulting industry, and prior to that he worked in the high-tech industry, across Europe and the Middle East.
Jemili advises clients on strategy, performance improvement, digital transformation and venture building, with a focus on real estate, construction, travel, logistics, and high-tech sectors. He is also highly regarded for his work with public sector clients on economic development, particularly in leveraging digital technologies.
Pauline Coquet brings nearly 15 years of management consulting experience across Europe and the Middle East to the partnership. She is a member of the Retail practice, working with senior executives and management teams for both local and international clients, focusing on strategic planning and implementation, customer experience, and digital transformation.
Her experience spans multiple retail sectors in the GCC region, including large mall operators, fashion and luxury companies, as well as grocery, restaurant businesses, and family businesses.
Beyond her client work, Coquet is an active representative of the Lead to Inspire initiatives as part of Women@Bain, one Bain & Company’s several initiatives focused on diversity & inclusion.
Ahmed Bin Amir is a key member of the Consumer Products and Retail practices, and brings 15 years of strategy consulting experience across the EMEA region to the partnership.
He specializes in strategy development, and has over the years assisting numerous consumer packaged goods, retail, and family businesses with expanding their market share, moving into new markets, and driving growth-focused transformation journeys. He also has expertise in driving margin and profitability improvements.
