Jad Chouman (HKA) named one of the Most Influential Leaders in Construction

Jad Chouman, the Head of HKA’s Middle East business, has been named one of the region’s Most Influential Leaders in the construction landscape.
Now in its 16th edition, the Middle East Power 150 list from Construction Week spotlights the people demonstrating leadership excellence and shaping the region’s construction landscape. The list celebrates the achievements of leaders in several segments of the market: developers, contractors, consultants, sub-contractors, designers, architects, and lawyers.
Jad Chouman’s inclusion in the Power 150 list for the second year in a row recognizes his deep expertise in the construction sector and his leadership at HKA, an award-winning global consulting firm.
A qualified civil engineer, Chouman has extensive experience in claims consulting and forensic delay analysis. He has throughout his career consulted on a variety of projects including highways, bridges, tunnels, airports and commercial structures, conducting financial damage assessments, cost audits, and program assessments. He also prepared construction claims reports for negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation processes.
In his time as Head of Middle East, Chouman has led HKA through a strong growth chapter in the region. The consulting firm has grown its team and witnessed growth in all service lines, including Construction Claims and Expert Services, and Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages.
In 2024 alone, HKA’s Middle East practice handled over 480 projects across 12 countries, with an average CapEx of $1.42 billion. Noteworthy engagements included major rail projects in the GCC, as well as infrastructure developments in Saudi Arabia, and various other high-profile projects across the MENA region.
Chouman also oversaw HKA’s approval for a Regional Headquarters license from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment (MISA), cementing its long-term presence of 20+ years in the kingdom, and led HKA’s growing commitment to social responsibility through social impact and volunteering.
“Jad’s leadership has been instrumental in securing high-profile projects with key clients, managing client relationships, boosting revenue and strengthening cross-regional collaboration across the EMEA region,” stated the jury report.
Commenting on the recognition, Chouman said: “I am delighted to be recognized along with my fellow peers in the Power 150 list. This is a testament to not just myself but my colleagues’ fantastic efforts in providing an invaluable service to our respected clients.”
