AWS and Accenture sign deal to accelerate cloud and AI across the Middle East
Accenture has signed a six-year agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help organizations across the Middle East accelerate their adoption of cloud computing and artificial intelligence.
The deal, announced at LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, brings together two major players in the region’s cloud and technology landscape to help businesses and governments migrate critical workloads to the cloud and deploy artificial intelligence across their services and operations.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the cloud computing business of Amazon and one of the world’s three major hyperscalers, competing primarily with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. The company is investing heavily in the Middle East, including $5.3 billion in Saudi Arabia to establish its first AWS infrastructure Region in the Kingdom and approximately $5 billion in the UAE through 2036 to support the expansion of its cloud infrastructure in the country.
Accenture is one of the world’s largest consulting and technology services companies and is an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner – the highest AWS Services Partner tier. The consulting firm has more than 30 AWS-awarded competencies and service delivery designations.
The two US-listed companies have a long history of working together, including across the Middle East. In recent years, the partnership has included bringing the AWS Cloud Institute to Saudi Arabia and the UAE to help develop cloud and technology skills in the region.
Six-year deal
Under the new strategic collaboration, Accenture will deploy a dedicated regional team of architects and delivery leads to help clients accelerate transformation across cloud migration and modernization, data and AI, and enterprise platform initiatives. The consulting firm will also establish industry-specific initiatives to support digital transformation and data and AI adoption across key sectors, including energy, financial services, and the public sector.
