Accenture and AWS have launched a joint program to help people in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates fast-track an in-demand career in the cloud domain.

The new regional program builds an existing global program by AWS known as AWS Cloud Institute, which launched in the United States in 2023 and has since then made its debut in several other countries.

AWS Cloud Institute is a 12-course training program that includes on-demand digital learning and live instructor-led courses, game-based learning, more than 100 interactive labs, two capstone projects, preparation and exam vouchers for two AWS Certifications. The program enables people to kickstart their career in a variety of cloud developer roles.

Enter KSA and UAE

In KSA and the UAE, the AWS Cloud Institute will be delivered in conjunction with Accenture, which will provide its LearnVantage platform to facilitate the sessions and provide trainers to deliver the courses.

The KSA and UAE edition comprises a nine-course training program with both e-learning and live instructor-led sessions, and features over 150 interactive labs, two capstone projects, and includes preparation materials plus exam vouchers for two AWS certifications.

In a statement, Accenture and AWS said that the partnership builds on their longstanding global collaboration, and aligns with their mission to bridge the skills gap in cloud and create pathways for learners to enrich their careers.

“This announcement marks a significant step in our commitment to fostering the next generation of cloud professionals. By partnering with Accenture, we are able to leverage our combined expertise to deliver a world-class training program that will empower people in KSA and UAE to build their careers as cloud professionals,” said Uwem Ukpong, Vice President of Global Services at AWS.

Kishore Durg, Global Lead of LearnVantage at Accenture, added: “This program will equip professionals with the essential skills and knowledge they need to forge new career pathways in a highly competitive field, and also help address the critical skills gap that organizations face. Our global delivery capabilities and deep expertise will ensure that learners receive a structured, high-quality education that puts them in high demand.”

In 2024, Accenture ranked as the Middle East’s number 1 cloud consulting firm in terms of client feedback and track record.
