Strategy& Middle East promotes Hani Zein to partner
A decade after joining Strategy& in the Middle East, Hani Zein has joined the firm’s partnership.
Effective 1 January 2021, Hani Zein is a partner in the Telecommunications, Media, Technology (TMT) and Digital practices of Strategy& in the Middle East. His promotion is part of a broader intake of newly appointed partners (Diana Dib and Jad El Mir) at Strategy&, a PwC subsidiary and one of the leading strategy consulting players in the region.
Zein specialises in helping clients – telecom operators, technology service providers, and government authorities – develop digital and technology strategies, designing and implementing large-scale digital transformations and build digital capabilities. He also has gained extensive experience in strategic planning, operating models, business-to-business operations, and customer experience management.
Throughout his career with Strategy&, Zein delivered over a dozen of projects across the Middle East and Asia. In addition to client work, he is a recognised thought leader on telecom in particular, having authored Strategy& reports including ‘How ICT service providers can turn pandemic threats into opportunities’, ‘IT and network integration in telecom companies’ and ‘Data-driven customer management for telecom operators’.
American University of Beirut educated Zein joined the consulting firm in 2011. Prior to that, he worked four years for Nokia, where he served most telecom operators in the Middle East and advised on technology planning and customer experience topics, and Lebanese engineering group Dar al Handasah, among others.
At the same time last year, Strategy& admitted Karim Sarkis and Lancelot Sursock to its partnership – both also serve the Technology, Media, and Telecom practice.
Meanwhile, globally, Strategy& has unveiled a raft of new partners effective 1 January across its 50+ offices.
