Caliber Consulting has kicked off the year in style, winning three consultancy projects across the Middle East.

Dubai-based Caliber Consulting is a boutique management consulting company specialised in strategy, organisation design, and people & culture. The firm, which since its inception in 2015 has built a track record of working with close to 100 organisations, supports its clients across the Middle East with advisory, execution and capability building services.

Over the past two months, Caliber Consulting has added a trio of new engagements to its portfolio, including an extension at an existing client in the real estate sector. Responding to the unprecedented change unleashed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the company launched a major business transformation to re-align its strategy and operating model.

“This led to a number of shifts in the way of working,” explained Rani Salman, a HEC Montréal MBA graduate who is a Managing Partner at Caliber Consulting following a career at large US and European management consultancies. “The Office of Strategy Management [the strategic PMO office] selected us to support with a wide array of strategy execution activities.”

Caliber Consulting supported the change roadmap for a period of close to 10 months, helping to drive tangible results despite the complex economic and organisational landscape. Following this, the real estate group have extended its contract with the boutique consultancy into 2021.

At a leading university in the region, Caliber Consulting has won a bid to support an organisation design transition. “Educational institutions were already being pressured to become more independent, agile, and more financially viable. Add to this the pandemic, which accelerated the adoption of online teaching, and the strategic backdrop is clear,” said Salman.

The university’s management team has enlisted the consulting firm to support the transition from its current structure to “one which is more aligned to new external pressures.”

Meanwhile, at a pharmaceutical company, Caliber Consulting won a competitive tender to advise on a culture change trajectory. “One of the main areas of focus is to translate their values into tangible behaviours and embed them into management systems and competency models to spark meaningful change.”
