Mazhar Hussain on KPMG's leading position in data management
In its latest assessment of data management consultancies worldwide, Forrester has ranked KPMG as one of the leading players. Mazhar Hussain, Digital Lighthouse Lead at KPMG in Saudi Arabia, reflects on KPMG’s recognition and explains how the firm manages to lead the pack.
Global analyst firm Forrester is one of the globe’s top research and benchmarking companies. Across the professional services arena, Forrester conducts competitor assessments for a range of capabilities, with its latest Forrester Wave edition for ‘Data Management Services’ identifying KPMG as one of the five leaders in the segment alongside two other Big Four firms and three technology powerhouses.
The analysis, which ranked a dozen consultancies on 20+ criteria, celebrates KPMG as the second best provider in terms of data management capabilities, and also ranks the firm second for its strategic capabilities.
Commenting on the report’s findings, Hussain said: “We're excited that KPMG has been named a leader.”
“KPMG topped many criteria in the scorecard, such as data governance, data security and privacy, data integration, training and literacy, business impact, market approach, performance, and partner ecosystem.”
According to Forrester, KPMG’s human-centric and business approach, as well as the expansion of its Lighthouse network, helps clients turn data into a strategic asset. “We help clients build and deliver trusted solutions to propel growth, handle risk and optimise cost,” said Hussain.
He continued, “KPMG's advanced data management capabilities are designed to help organisations overcome the challenges that stem from managing large amounts of data and complex combinations of data sources and data models.”
Lauding KPMG’s consulting expertise, Forrester’s researchers stated: “Organisations seeking a consultant that has a strong methodology to connect data to process and decision flows will find that KPMG is exceptional in this approach.”
The study further outlined: “Client references praise KPMG’s translation of business expertise to projects and ability to generate actionable guidance, all while demonstrating delivery excellence.”
Meanwhile, in the audit space, KPMG’s team is able to “deliver superior data security and privacy, along with a unique and effective data integration capability.” Rounding off its data management offerings, on the delivery side, “KPMG’s DataOps and data engineering is typical of agile data management and continuous integration/continuous delivery practices in the market.”
