BCG promotes Zineb Sqalli to managing director and partner
In her 14th year at the company, Zineb Sqalli has been appointed a Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group.
Zineb Sqalli joined the global strategy consulting giant in France in 2009, after completing her studies at CentraleSupélec (one of France’s prestigious ‘grandes écoles’). In 2014, she transferred to the firm’s Casablanca office, where she has played an integral part of the team’s growth.
Today, the Casablanca office (which opened its doors in 2010) has more than 60 employees, and is led by a group of partners helmed by senior partner Lisa Ivers.
Sqalli has been part of this partner group since 2019, and now becomes an equity member of the partnership. She is part of Boston Consulting Group’s Financial Institutions, Public Sector, and People & Organisation practices.
Her work primarily focuses on strategy, organisation, leadership, and implementing innovative methods of working with customers in the governmental and commercial sectors of Morocco and West Africa.
According to Boston Consulting Group, Sqalli is particularly involved in the issue of women’s empowerment in Morocco and Africa. She is in charge of the firm’s efforts on gender empowerment and inclusion in emerging markets, as well as the ‘Women Initiative’ in Africa, an internal BCG program that empowers female consultants.
Founded in 1963 in the United States, Boston Consulting Group is one of the world’s most prestigious consultancies. Last year the consultancy grew by 25% to life revenues to $11 billion.
Earlier this year, BCG also promoted fellow Casablanca member Anas Laabi to managing director and partner.
Prior to her career in consulting, Sqalli worked as an assistant supply chain manager at Procter & Gamble and as a financial auditor at Big Four firm EY.
