Alexander Buirski joins Arthur D. Little's partner team in Dubai
Global strategy and management consulting firm Arthur D. Little has appointed Alexander Buirski as a partner in its Dubai office.
A member of Arthur D. Little’s Travel & Transportation practice, Alexander Buirski brings 18 years of experience in consulting to the firm, gained in the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Europe.
Buirski has extensive experience in strategy and transformation leadership across a range of mobility-focused sectors, with particular expertise in policy and governance, investment and risk management, economic development, and operations excellence.
Prior to joining Arthur D. Little, Buirski was a principal at Kearney where he led sectorial and institutional transformation programs for government clients. Before that, he spent four years at Monitor Deloitte (the strategic consulting outfit of Deloitte), where he served as a director in its Dubai office.
Earlier, prior to his relocation to the Middle East, Buirski was co-founder of Soloren Consulting in Australia (a boutique consultancy focused on the public sector) and held positions at Deloitte and Accenture in the United Kingdom.
“Alexander has worked at the highest level in governmental and public sector consulting, leading on major transformational projects encompassing national transport and logistics strategy, defense modernisation, and maritime and aviation competitiveness plans,” said Thomas Kuruvilla, Managing Partner of Arthur D. Little in the Middle East.
“He will be a fantastic asset to the Arthur D. Little team in the region as we expand our travel and transportation footprint.”
Commenting on his new challenge, Buirski, said: “As governments strive to transform the way their countries run, from modernising aerospace and defense to managing the electric mobility transition, it’s vital they have access to the best thinking in how to meet these challenges, and can collaborate with experts skilled at turning strategy into reality. I am excited at the prospect of helping Arthur D. Little’s clients to address these issues.”
