In its 2025 sustainability report, Sustainable Square, a leading ESG and sustainability consultancy in the Middle East, reflected on a year of expansion across the Middle East, continued growth of its ESG reporting platform Squarely, and measurable progress against its net-zero commitments.

The consulting firm reported an 8% increase in total revenue and a 60% increase in signed projects compared to the previous year. This growth was largely driven by a rise in demand for environmental, social, and governance advisory services among financial institutions and large corporations in the Middle East.

A major contributor to its success was Squarely, the firm’s platform for sustainability reporting. Revenue for the Squarely platform grew by 263% as regional organizations worked to meet new regulatory requirements.

Sustainable Square also made notable gains in its environmental commitments. The company achieved a 40% reduction in total greenhouse gas emissions year over year. Emissions intensity also dropped to 1.88 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent per employee. These figures support the firm’s long-term plan to reach net zero emissions while continuing to grow its operations in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

To date, the firm has completed more than 500 sustainability projects for more than 250 clients. Customer satisfaction remains high, with a reported score of 92.9%.

“2025 marked a pivotal phase for Sustainable Square in scaling sustainability across markets, expanding from focused engagements to delivering integrated, region-wide sustainability outcomes,” said Monaem Ben Lellahom, Partner and CEO of Sustainable Square.

“With our operations based in the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and clients spanning the wider Middle East, we continued to support organizations navigating increasingly complex sustainability expectations.”

The report was prepared by Squarely following the Global Reporting Initiative standards and aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

As regional disclosure rules continue to change, Sustainable Square aims to maintain its role as a leading consultancy for businesses navigating the evolving landscape of corporate responsibility.

“Looking ahead, our focus remains clear. We will continue to scale sustainability across markets by driving innovation and supporting organizations in creating long-term value for economies, societies, and the environment,” concluded Ben Lellahom.
