Injaz Consulting Group named delivery partner of Egypt’s AI for Banking Diploma

The Central Bank of Egypt has launched the country’s first specialised diploma in artificial intelligence (AI) for the banking sector. The initiative is delivered in partnership with the Egyptian Banking Institute, New Giza University and Injaz Consulting Group.

The AI in Banking Diploma is designed to equip banking professionals and leaders with a structured, practical, and governance-led understanding of artificial intelligence – one of the most disruptive and opportunistic trends in the sector.

A study by McKinsey & Company estimates that AI could deliver up to hundreds of billions of dollars in additional value annually, driven by improvements in areas such as cost efficiencies, enhanced risk management, fraud detection, credit decisioning, operational automation, and highly personalised customer experiences.

“The launch of this diploma is part of the Central Bank of Egypt’s fintech and innovation strategy, which aims to transform Egypt into a leading regional hub for the fintech industry in the Arab and African regions,” said Hassan Abdalla, Governor of the central bank.

The programme is hosted by the Digital Academy (an initiative by the Central Bank of Egypt) and open for participants from across the financial services sector, who can earn the diploma by completing five programs. These programs cover foundational concepts of AI, and further span areas including data, governance, risk, and real-world implementation in banking.

To support the delivery of the program, the Central Bank of Egypt has signed a memorandum of understanding with Injaz Institute, the training and executive learning arm of Injaz Consulting Group.

Commenting on the collaboration, Ahmed Rahmi, Director of Injaz Institute, said: “This initiative reflects a shared commitment to developing sector-wide capabilities that support responsible, well-governed, and scalable adoption of AI in banking, aligned with regulatory expectations and institutional decision-making.”

“We look forward to working closely with the programme’s partners to scale this program and contribute to positioning Egypt as a regional reference point in AI-enabled and resilient banking.”

With over 200 professionals working from offices in New Cairo and Riyadh, Injaz Consulting Group is one of the larger Arab-origin consulting groups. The firm operates with four labels in the market: Injaz Consulting (management consulting), Injaz Tech (tech consulting), Majed Alrasheed Law Firm (legal advisory), and Injaz Institute (executive learning and training).
