Deloitte launches unified and global framework for AI agents on Omnia
Deloitte has announced the launch of a unified agentic intelligence network within Omnia, the firm’s global audit and assurance technology platform.
Omnia was launched more than a decade ago as a cloud-based platform that supports Deloitte auditors in delivering audit and assurance services to clients. Since then, the platform has been continuously enhanced with new technologies, including chatbots, workflow automation robots, and generative AI-powered tools.
Having developed and deployed AI agents across Omnia, Deloitte has now upgraded with the platform a unified agentic intelligence network, enabling AI agents to work together to coordinate and execute workflows.
The agentic intelligence network brings new and existing AI agents together under a single technology and governance framework, allowing them to operate consistently across Deloitte’s global office network in 140+ countries and client engagements.
Examples of AI agent networks already in use include agents that analyse information to identify potential risk factors, agents that automate data extraction and documentation drafting, and agents that evaluate compliance with regulatory and disclosure requirements.
“Deloitte’s clients are operating in an environment defined by speed, complexity, and constant change,” said Nigel Thomas, a leader at Deloitte in its UK business. “With Omnia, Deloitte is enabling our professionals to work with clients to deliver an AI-advanced audit and help them navigate change in their business while managing risk.”
The upgrade has been made available to Deloitte’s nearly 85,000 audit and assurance practitioners worldwide, including those in the Middle East.
Akbar Ahmad, Audit & Assurance leader in the Middle East, said: “Our significant investments in Omnia reflect a clear ambition: to differentiate Deloitte through a modern, integrated audit and assurance platform that enhances the experience of our professionals and delivers tangible benefits to our clients.”
“By combining advanced technology, data-driven insights and professional judgment, Omnia enables more responsive audit and assurance engagements and deeper analysis, helping our teams better anticipate risks, focus on what matters most, and deliver greater value to clients.”
The connected AI agents upgrade builds on Deloitte’s AI innovation strategy. The firm plans to release further enhancements to Omnia later this year. “Omnia has evolved into a unified agentic platform where Deloitte’s professionals, data, methodology and AI work together,” said Will Bible, Global Digital Products leader for the Audit & Assurance division. “This is only the beginning.”
