The Government of Bahrain has launched a tender to find a consulting firm for the construction of a major residential project being developed in East Hidd City.

Launched over a decade ago, East Hidd City is a new build residential development located on reclaimed land opposite the existing town of Hidd. When fully completed, the city is expected to hold 4,523 housing units (mostly affordable housing) and accommodate 30,000 people.

For the latest development in the 242 hectare development area, the build of around 284 social apartments, Bahrain’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning is now inviting bids from qualified consultants.
